“We are deeply saddened to have lost a member of the JP Morgan family at 25 Bank Street today,” JP Morgan said in a statement. “Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family and his friends.”
Emergency services were called to the bank’s 33-storey building in Canary Wharf yesterday morning at 8am, where Magee was pronounced dead at the scene by London Ambulance Service paramedics.
A police spokesman said yesterday evening that they were called to the scene on reports of a man having fallen from 25 Bank Street, landing on a neighbouring ninth floor roof.
“No arrests have been made and the incident is being treated as non-suspicious at this early stage. Constables from Tower Hamlets are investigating the circumstances,” they said. ®
